Please join us for our 25th anniversary gala on August 26, 2023, at the Napa Valley Country Club. Help improve the safety and comfort of our residents by contributing to the fundraising of our Moving Forward Capital Improvement Project!
The Treasure Valley was named for its abundant resources and opportunities; however, these aren’t equally accessible to all who call it home. And unfortunately, the number of our fellow Idahoans who are struggling is increasing.
Together with 750 volunteers, United Way of Treasure Valley and partners built 3,500 care packages for students experiencing food insecurity to help bridge the gap during Thanksgiving break.
On November 8th and 9th at Expo Idaho, volunteers worked to fill care packages with shelf-stable food, hygiene items, and more. A special note was included in each care package to remind the recipient that they are deeply cared for by their community.
The Wassmuth Center invites Idaho kindergarten through twelfth grade students to create works of art and writing in response to Article 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which affirms the right to democracy.
The Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial in Boise, Idaho, USA and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia are both members in the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience. "Words Have Weight" showcases both Sites and the power of language in uniting - and dividing - the community.
In March of 2018, 16 volunteers from Boise, Idaho traveled to Cambodia with the Pedals and Packs program, hosted by The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights, to deliver 200 bicycles and backpacks to promote continuing education for elementary school children. This project is in support of equal education around the world.
