OMG Studios Boise, LLC and #OMGFemaleFilmmakers, LLC Ribbon Cutting and Open House
BOISE & GARDEN CITY, Idaho, USA – February 20, 2023 – After five years in business, #OMGFemaleFilmmakers, LLC’s CEO, Founder, and Producer, Steph Cullen, took her production company to the next level and founded OMG Studios Boise, LLC in January of 2023. Along with her production company, Steph has always wanted a physical studio space and when she met Kristi Saucerman, CEO and Founder of Auction Frogs, who just so happened to have the perfect location for a production studio, Steph knew it was time for growth.
“Kristi has been instrumental in this journey, and when we started working through the logistics of renting space in her building, I realized that I wanted to recognize both business entities as their own LLC. And that’s how OMG Studios Boise was born. While #OMGFemaleFilmmakers is a video production company, producing video content for local businesses, nonprofits, and marketing and PR firms, OMG Studios Boise is a physical video production studio, audio recording studio, and event and meeting space that other video producers, photographers, musicians, and individuals can utilize for their own projects. When I’m not utilizing the space myself, of course” Steph Cullen added with a laugh.
Supporting the Community
Already, in the first month-and-a-half that OMG Studios Boise has been operational, they’ve been host to #OMGFemaleFilmmakers productions including video content created for Boise nonprofits, Wassmuth Center for Human Rights and Learning Lab, two of Steph’s first clients when she formed her production company in the fall of 2017. The studio has also been host to a local AcroYoga photography session, multiple music videos with local musicians, and starting February 20th, professional actor and comedian, Austin Von Johnson, will be teaching an 8-week adult improv class in the studio’s meeting space.
Ribbon Cutting and Open House
In collaboration with The Boise Metro Chamber and The Garden City Chamber of Commerce, OMG Studios Boise, LLC and #OMGFemaleFilmmakers, LLC’s ribbon cutting and open house will take place on March 14, 2023. The open house will run from 12pm to 3pm, with the ribbon cutting at 12:30pm.
Jane Merrow, Golden Globe nominated actress for her work in the 1968 film The Lion in Winter with Peter O’Toole, will do the honors and cut the ribbon for OMG Studios Boise and #OMGFemaleFilmmakers. Jane has also appeared in Night of the Big Heat with Christopher Lee, onstage with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in The Comedy of Errors in 2009, and most recently in The Haunting of Margam Castle directed by Andrew Jones, one of the most prolific UK independent film producers of his time.
Steph Cullen says, “We are honored to have Jane Merrow as our guest and official ribbon cutter for OMG Studios Boise and #OMGFemaleFilmmakers. Her life and career have been an inspiration to many in our industry and we are blessed that she calls Boise home while bringing a level of talent to our community that is unmatched.”
Why March 14th?
Founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw, Pi Day became a national holiday in 2009, due to the numerical date of 3.14 - the constant number that never ends. Steph picked this date because filmmaking is both an art and a science, and of course involves math, not to mention that her love for film transcends infinity.
There will be pie (because Pi Day), refreshments, tours of the studio, demonstrations of video production work, and free professional headshots in the studio, taken by local cinematographer, photographer, musician, and friend, Cary Judd.
Location
OMG Studios Boise, LLC is located in the Auction Frogs building off of Glenwood in the Ashland Park Complex in Garden City, Idaho. Parking is in front of the building and the entrance to the studio is to the right of the building in the gated back lot. There will be balloons and signs directing you to the entrance of the studio, where you’ll be greeted with a red carpet, pie, and smiles.
